Rikson had desired to go to school for long enough but, because of poor conditions, he had to postpone school for three years. Rikson is living in the islands; precisely, in the Aru islands in Benjuring village, east of Indonesia. Both of his parents are elderly and work as farmers whose income is erratic and covers the costs of daily living. During the delay, Rikson worked to help his parents.

Currently Rikson is a prospective student at the Academy of Maritime Nusantara (AMN). He chose the Commerce program, Management and Harbour Administration, because, with his ability and ideals, he hopes to work in the office of the National Transportation Agency. Because he does not want to burden his parents, Rikson applied for a loan from Kiva for the cost of his studies. Rikson is very grateful to the lenders who will help him with his studies so, hopefully, this loan will help his family.
