Lorenzo es el representante del Grupo de Nueva Siembra Chuisajcab (de playera café el primero que se encuentra del lado derecho de la fotografía) es un hombre casado de 47 años de edad, vive junto a sus 5 hijos: 2 hombres y 3 mujeres en el Caserío Chuicascab, Nahualá Sololá.
El es un hombre trabajador que lucha por el bienestar de su familia. Comenta que él se dedica a la siembra de maíz a unos metros de su vivienda desde hace 25 años.
Eligió este tipo de actividad porque puede alimentar a su familia durante un año y lo puede comercializar en el mercado local. A través de esta labor obtiene ingresos y ganancias aceptables que le ayudan a cubrir los gastos de su familia.
Los demás integrantes del grupo utilizaran la otra parte del crédito para la siembra de maíz, con el fin de incrementar sus ganancias para mejorar las condiciones de vida de sus familias. El préstamo será utilizado para la compra de abono orgánico para el cultivo de maíz.
Su sueño es sacar adelante a sus hijos en sus estudios y mejorar la economía de su familia.

ADICLA (Association for the Holistic Development of the Basin of Lake Atitlán) is nonprofit rural community development association that provides small loans and services to improve quality of life in two of the poorest regions of Guatemala, home to large indigenous populations. Kiva funding will be used to support three innovative credit initiatives: youth business loans, green loans, and smaller loans to help ADICLA move down-market and serve poorer clients.
