A loan of $1,075 helped to buy compost, fungicides, and pesticides.

Edwin's story

Edwin is 26 years old, married, and is the father of three children (ages 1, 6, and 9). He was raised on a farm where his parents taught him everything about agricultural work. Thanks to the knowledge he gained, he now grows beans and peas on a plot of rented land. He works every day. Due to his financial condition, he also works on neighboring farms in order to complement his daily income and support his household.

Edwin has experienced very difficult economic situations since he had his first child at a very young age. However, he is not deterred by adversity and gradually has been able to move his family forward. He is requesting a loan so that he can invest in the purchase of farming supplies (compost, fungicides, and pesticides) in order to fertilize his crops and have a good yield of crops that he can sell for more income.

Edwin dreams of having his own parcel of land for crops and some property of his own so that he can have financial stability. This will enable him to provide a better education for his children and an improved quality of life for his household.
