A loan of $725 helped to buy organic manure.

Limber's story

Limber, 45, is married with five children he lives with in his own house. The activity Limber carries out is agriculture, specifically growing bananas. He has a 15-hectare parcel his parents passed down to him so that he could have an occupation that would allow him to earn his own income.

He’s worked growing this product for 20 years and he does so with the help of four people who help him do the field chores. The current crop yield he obtains from his crop generates income sufficient to cover his basic daily needs. However, he believes that it’s insufficient to be able to invest in other businesses or to increase the area he plants because this crop is occasionally affected by intense rainfall or too much wind.

He feels good with his work in the field because he considers it to be a tranquil, healthy activity since he does not tolerate life in the city because of the bothersome noise. On this occasion he will request 2,000 soles and he’s grateful for the opportunity being provided to realize his work plan. He will use the requested amount to buy organic manure to strengthen his banana crop.
