Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $300 helped to buy furniture for her household.

Sanobar's story

From an early age, Sanobar has lived through many of life's hardships. After the death of her father, her family was without a breadwinner, because her mother did not work anywhere. Sanobar began working in the field from a young age. After marrying, Sanobar began to take it upon herself to provide for her family, because her husband's health did not permit him to work in the field, which is the only work available in the rural area. Sanobar and her husband are raising two children. She alone has to provide for the two children and her ailing husband. For more than 4 years, she has been engaged in the agriculture business. She mainly grows vegetables and grains. She wants to buy furniture for her household and has saved up some money to do this, but it is not enough. She has requested a loan in the amount of 300 U.S. dollars. She awaits your kindness.
