Shazia's story

Shazia is 32 years old and a housewife. She lives in Lahore, Pakistan. She is a mother of three children. Her husband owns a vegetable shop in the market which is the only source of income for the family. He sells a variety of fresh vegetables in his shop after purchasing them from the field. Presently he is interested to offer more variety to his customers which will help him to increase his net income and savings as well. However due to the lack of funds he finds it difficult.

Therefore his wife Shazia has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan so that she can help her husband to purchase vegetables from the field and sell them in the market at profitable price. With the profit amount, her husband wants to grow his business in the future. Shazia is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan.
