Fiffawa 1 Group's story

The FIFFAWA 1 group comprises nineteen members who live in the same neighborhood. It is the second time that this group is requesting financial support from ALIDé in order to raise its level of activity.

Celestine Dina, the group's representative, is the woman raising her hand in the photo. She is 43 years old and married to a man named Parfait with whom she has three children. Some of their children are in school and all are their dependents. Celestine Dina lives with her husband and children and jointly takes care of the various household expenses with her husband.

Celestine Dina did not go to school. In order to contribute to the household's various expenses, she has been selling fabrics, cosmetics, hair extensions and, additionally, some jewelry, from her home, for the past six years. This activity procures her a non-negligible source of income. She buys her merchandise from a market located in Benin.

In order to satisfy the needs of her customers, and to increase her turnover and income, she is requesting a second loan from ALIDé, along with the other members of the FIFFAWA 1 group. Their first loan was duly repaid.
