Voskan lives in the village of Dsegh in the Lori region. He is married and has two children. His son is on military service and his daughter is still school-aged. Voskan's wife is unemployed and together with her husband she is engaged in farming. They have a small, cute farm where they breed a cow, a calf, two piglets, and twenty chickens. In addition to farming, Voskan works at their village forestry as a keeper. Voskan’s wife manages to sell some milk and eggs to villagers and the rest they keep for their own use. With his two jobs Voskan hardly manages to cover his family and farm needs and provide minimum living conditions for his children.

Voskan is thinking of a new business: he wants to sell beef and pork to the Vanadzor butchers. For this he needs a loan of 800,000 Armenian drams to buy several bulls and start his new business.
