Eriada is a 22-year-old, responsible, young woman. She lives in a main city in southeastern Albania. She has finished the hairdressing professional school and can’t wait to start practicing the skills she gained.

“Maybe I got married very young -- eighteen years old -- and become a mother soon afterwards, but it is okay. No regrets so far. My husband is very mature for his age, and supportive as well, and this is the most important, for the moment. I am opening up a hair salon where there are no others in the neighborhood, and this will help me thrive. The place is mine, so I don’t have to pay for rent, but I need money now to bring in equipment, and this is why I’m applying for this loan. I hope lenders will be able to help me financially, and of course I will pay their monies back -- no other way,” Eriada said, smiling.

Eriada needs to buy some equipment for her hair salon. She was photographed at the salon space, which was empty at the time.
