A loan of $2,400 helped a member to buy more blankets and jerseys for resale during this winter season.

Vimbainashe Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 37-year-old Codrio from Mutare. Codrio is a member of a group called Vimbainashe Group. She is a single parent with two children, both of whom attend school. She also cares for two other dependents. Codrio runs a clothing business selling winter shoes, blankets and jerseys. The business has been in operation for nine years. She says the main challenges she faces are high import duty at border posts and high transportation costs. Codrio has requested a loan of 600 USD to buy more blankets and jerseys for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve the general welfare of her family. In the future Codrio plans to own a boutique shop in town.

NB. Roniah is also a member of the group and is holding her child.
