A loan of $550 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Luz's story

Luz, 50, is married to Carlos with whom she has six children but only one of them still lives with them in their own house. Luz works in agriculture and has several parcels of land in her location where she grows organic coffee. But since she’s a very hardworking working woman she also has a grocery store where she sells food items like rice, sugar and milk, among others. She’s also installed a public telephone which is the only one in the zone so it produces good income and a good clientele.

She wants to stock her store now because she suffered a small robbery. This is her second Kiva loan and she feels grateful for the financial support she’ll get to continue forward and she also commits to make her payments punctually. Luz will use the money to buy food items like rice, flour, milk, sugar, etc.
