A loan of $550 helped to buy organic fertilizer.

Reveca's story

Reveca is 29 years old, married to Camilo, and they have 2 children aged 13 and 10 years old. They live in a rural home.

Reveca works in agriculture, work that she has been doing for about 10 years. With the help of her husband she grows coffee, bananas, corn, ginger and avocados. “I like growing everything because I like to stay busy and so I also earn more money,” she says. Sometimes there is not enough money to buy fertilizer, so some crops are neglected, but when she obtains money, she resumes cultivation.

At the same time she works in other fields earning extra money for household eventualities. Now she plans to grow ginger as the profit is good.

This is her second Kiva loan and she is grateful for the help that she receives to continue advancing. She agrees to make her payments on time. Reveca will invest the 1500 soles in the purchase of organic fertilizer to nourish her crops.
