Ulmaskan's story

Ulmaskan is 50 years old, married and has four children--all sons. She has a high school diploma. She has worked in agriculture since 1990, more specifically, raising seedlings including cherry, plum, apricot and pears to sell. She started her business in 2000. Today, she is a success with her small farm which is on four hectares of land that she plants each year. She sells her crops in neighboring countries like Russia and Uzbekistan. Her monthly profit is around 10,000 KGS. With the goal of further developing her agricultural endeavors, Ulmaskan has turned to the microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 100,000 KGS to buy seedlings and fertilizer for them. Ulmaskan's children will help her with her duties duties. She plans to use the income from the loan to improve her family's well being. Her family is very respected in their village, as well as friendly.
