A loan of $725 helped to buy sewing supplies such as fabric, thread, buttons, etc.

Yovany's story

Yovany is 36 years old, married, and lives in her own home with her husband and three children. Yovany is a seamstress, an activity she learned at a young age, studying in an occupational education center. She began by opening her own shop in her house with only one machine that she bought with her savings, and now she has 3 machines. She has been working as a seamstress for 9 years, at times with the help of her sister. She likes that with her job she can count on an income with which to pay the household expenses. She wishes to be able to expand her business and buy a semi-industrial machine. This is her second loan with Kiva; she is content to know that she can depend on the financial support to solidify her plans, therefore she promises to be responsible with her payments. With the 2000 nuevos soles, she will invest in buy sewing materials such as fabrics, thread, elastic, buttons, etc.
