Kelita's story

Kelita is 54 years old, married, and lives in her own home with her husband. Kelita sells shoes for women, men and children. She orders the shoes from the capital and then sells them to her customers, who appreciate the quality of her products. She has be in this business for more than 10 years, and up until now has worked alone. She likes her business as it generates a income and provides a job, in addition to being home and in her free time she takes care of animals such as chickens and ducks. She considers her business rather profitable for the earnings it provides, and so she would like to increase her stock of merchandise in order to grow her business. This is her 4th loan with Kiva. She is very content to know that she will have financial support, as in this way she feels assured to grow her business. With the 1500 nuevos soles, she will invest in buying a large number of varied styles of shoes in order to have available stock to sell.
