A loan of $725 helped to buy ingredients like flour and butter.

Damaris's story

Damaris, 43, is married living in her the house she built with her husband and three children. Damaris works making and selling various home-made sweets that she sells to order in stores.

She’s been in this line of work for more than three years and she gets help from her children making and delivering the sweets. She likes her activity because it keeps her busy and because she’s able to help her spouse with household expenses and with her children’s education as well as being able to set her own work schedule. She plans to continue expanding the business.

This will be her 6th Kiva loan so she’s counting on your collaboration to continue towards her objectives. Also, she commits to be punctual with her installment payments like she’s been in previous loans.

She will use the 2,000 new soles to buy a dough kneader to make the sweets as well as necessary ingredients to make the sweets like flour, butter, shortening and others.
