A loan of $200 helped to buy more leaves to sell.

Celina's story

Celina, 52, is a widow living in her own house where her independent children visit her. Celina works selling dried leaves of an Amazonian palm that are used as roofing on houses. Her customers visit her seeking these leaves which are in great demand and because of the great service she provides.

She started more than two years ago and to date gets help from her children and from a person she pays weekly. Therefore, seeing the good results, she plans to continue and enlarge her investment in the business. To do so, this is her 7th Kiva loan and she’s hoping for your collaboration so she can continue towards her objectives.

On the other hand, she commits once again to make her installment payments like she did with the previous loans she got. She will use the entire 500 new soles to extract the leaves and to get them in the greatest amount possible in order to earn higher profits.
