Maria Del Carmen's story

María del Carmen, 27, is married living with her husband and two children in her house; she’s been in the grocery business for two years. María del Carmen’s business is located in the community of San Lorenzo in southern Honduras. She sells all basic family staples in her store; she’s a hardworking, very enterprising woman who very much wants to get ahead. She sells a little bit of everything and thanks to her activity has been able to move her children forward and to have a good business now.

María del Carmen is asking for the loan to buy bread, milk, sugar, coffee, beans, cheese, sauces, pasta, salt, etc. With this loan’s support she hopes to be able to expand her grocery store more. Her wish is to have a small market where she can tend to more customers thus earning higher profits to get ahead with her family and to do some home improvements.
