Juliette is a woman of 58 and mother of four children aged from 10 to 23 years old. She has been selling fresh food in a local market for 13 years. She sells exclusively plantains, which does not bring in a lot of income. She is requesting a loan which will allow her not only to expand her stock of plantains but also to diversify her business by buying other foodstuffs such as manioc, "maccabo", etc. The profit which will result from this will permit her to make her business sustainable, put her children in school, and put aside a little in savings.
