A loan of $1,550 helped a member to purchase wax-print and material to sell to customers.

Sandra's Group's story

Sandra is 33 years old and is a single mother to two children. She was only able to complete three years of senior high school, but she works very hard to support her children by operating a wax-print material sales business. She sells her products from door to door, and started her business 10 years ago while helping a mother in a similar endeavor. Sandra is standing in the middle of photograph. Sandra's group came together with the common goal of supporting each other's business endeavors and leveraging the opportunities of a loan to grow and strengthen their respective businesses. In view of this agenda they resorted to ID-Ghana for loan and they are in their 4th cycle. Sandra plans to use the support from this loan to purchase wax-print and material to sell to customers. The other group members make a living selling the same products. They need a total amount of GHS 3100 to continue competitive businesses with other sellers of the same products.
