A loan of $2,600 helped a member to buy more food items to improve the varieties offered.


Heri Group's story

Aziza, who is in her late 20s, is single with two sons who are in school. For one year now, Aziza has been supporting her family with a food business (mamalishe). She is doing fine in her business and with her family as well. She starts working from 6 pm to midnight daily (she runs her business at night) and is able to earn a small profit per month.

This will be her first loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania which she will use to buy more food items to improve the varieties offered. She dreams one day she will be improve her business by having a permanent location and good working equipment.

She will share this loan with her loan group "HERI" which totals 15 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
