A loan of $800 helped capital.

Regina's story

Regina is a young woman of 23 years. She is a single mother with one child. As a school drop-out, she took to trading. With the support of her mother, she went into the sale of yams. She has set up her store at Kwesimintim, a major suburb of the city. Sales are very encouraging and the potential for increased sales is good.

At present, Regina's supplies come from wholesalers who give her the foodstuffs on a credit basis. As a graduate of the TEACH sessions from KRABAN, she is now poised to take her business to a new level. She intends to use the loan to pay off her suppliers when they come, rather than buying on credit. This, she believes, can increase her bargaining power.
