A loan of $425 helped a member to plow her farmland for replanting rainy season crops.

Khim's Group's story

Khim, a villager from Kror Kor district of Pursat Province, is 30 years old and married. She has two dependent children to cater for. For her kids’ sake, she has been farming on a one and a half hectare area for 10 years. Her supplementary income is also from her pig-raising business and fish-catching for resale.

This is the second microloan for her group, consisting of two borrowers including her. The past loan, which she has fully repaid, has helped her to provide sufficient decent food for her children and improve her living better than before.

For this cycle she is a group leader. She will spend her loan portion to plow her farmland for replanting rainy season crops. She hopes that she can gain high yields with a good profit.
