A loan of $250 helped a member to buy potash for her cash-crops.

Sokha's Group's story

Sokha is 40 years old and a mother of two children who are still in school. She deals with the daily cost living via two hectares of rice farming and one hectare of cassava cropping, which is supported by her husband. She is able to earn about 17,500 KHR per day from the business that she has occupied for ages.

With VisionFund, it is the first time for her. She and her co-borrower, who is also a first-time borrower, are seeking 500,000 KHR each. As the leader she will spend her loan portion to buy potash for her cash-crops. She hopes that she can grow her crops healthily and seasonably so she can make more income to buy a plot of farmland to grow rubber trees for long-term additional profit.
