A loan of $5,450 helped to continue operations, pay for wages for his employees, and purchase an updated printing machine.

Ruben's story

Ruben has more than five years of experience in the printing and signage business. As owner of Cesar’s Printing N Signs, located in El Paso, Ruben offers the latest design for printed banners, invitations, custom T-shirt printed logos, business cards, flyers and brochures. Since he started his business, Ruben has ensured quality remains his first priority. Ruben employs three individuals and plans to hire one additional employee in the near future. Ruben turned to Accion Texas Inc. for a loan after hearing about the non-profit microlender through a local marketing campaign. He applied, and after a short period of time, received an approval for a $5,450 loan. Ruben used the Accion loan to continue operations, pay for wages for his employees, and purchase an updated printing machine. “I would have made less profit and would have had to use contractors if I did not receive the Accion loan,” Ruben says. Ruben plans to continue gaining business through social media and further developing his website.
