A loan of $2,075 helped a member to buy shoes, sandals and sneakers.

Patience 2 & 3 Group's story

Paguy is the coordinator of the Patience group. He is married, has two children, and lives in the north-east of Haiti, where electricity is scarce and drinking water is very limited. He has had a business selling sandals for the past five years.

Before starting this business, Paguy was a student. He plans to use his loan to buy shoes, sandals and sneakers, and hopes that the loan will help him to expand his business. Other members of the Patience group need loans for their businesses, which include the sale of cosmetic products and sodas. Paguy says that his main challenge is figuring out how to be a more successful retailer. He also says that his main goal is to have a larger business, which will allow him to travel to other countries.

In this group: Paguy, Wisline, Dolce, Baptiste, Wideline, Natilia, Judith*, Daniel, Mariemarthe, Cassandra
