Francisco is the representative for the “Grupo do Agricultores Chuisajcab 1” (wearing a green shirt, the first from the left in the photograph). He is single, 54 years old, and lives with his daughter in the small town of Chuicascab, in the Tzucubal Nahualá aldea.

He is a hardworking and friendly person. He explains that he plants corn a few meters from his house. He chose this type of business because his parents taught it to him.

Now, thanks to his hard work, he can feed his family and he also sells in the local market. Through his work he earns good income and earnings, which helps him to contribute to the family budget.

The other members of the group will use a portion of this loan to plant corn, with the goal of improving living conditions for their families. The loan will be used to buy organic manure for cultivating corn.

His dream is to generate more income so he can build his house and provide a better quality of life for his family.
