María Ventura's story

María is 64 years old. She is married and has two children. She has been a farmer and a rancher for many years. Her family has always worked in these activities and she learned to work helping her parents. She has never done anything else. She leaves her house and walks 3 minutes to reach the avenue where she catches the bus which takes 20 minutes to arrive at the town where she buys the products for her activities. The loan she is asking Fundación Campo for is to do maintenance on her pastures where she grazes her cattle, as well as to repair fences and plant grass to feed her cattle in the summer and buy seed, fertilizer, pesticide and pay the laborers to plant the grass. By getting the loan, she will be able to keep her pastures clean, the fences in good repair and grow enough grass for the dry season. By feeding her cows, she has the possibility of getting better results with milk production and obtain better income for her family. Her plans for the future are to build an inheritance for her children so they can have a good start and continue working.
