Kanie is 42 years old and lives at the West Point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is unmarried, and she was unable to go to school. She described herself as a hardworking woman. For the past seven years, she has been running her restaurant, which sells rice and soup in the local market. She sells six days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. She enjoys her business because of the flow of her customers. She started this business with money given to her by her fiancée. She uses a shared taxi most of the time to get her goods to her restaurant. She is requesting a loan to purchase more food ingredients, such as rice, Vita (juice drink), dry meat, fish, oil, onions, eggs, etc. for her business. Her plan is to build a house for her children.
