Tasleem's story

Tasleem is a 38-year-old married woman, living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She has been sewing dolls for the past 6 years to support her family. She beautifully sews dolls at home and then sells them in the local market. By this time she has attained a regular list of customers and makes enough to contribute to her family's income. Her husband also works in a factory but earns an insufficient income to support his family alone.

Tasleem is a mother of 3 children and is motivated to provide for her family. To cope with the increasing demand of her customers, she requested a loan of 40,000 PKR to purchase more stock of thread, fancy materials, sequins, and pearls of various colors. She hopes to get a boost in her earnings through her large sales. She is in her fourth loan cycle and has shown excellent repayment behavior. She wishes to utilize a portion of revenue to provide quality education for her children.
