Victoria's story

Victoria is 34-years old and lives with her family in Challabamba. She is a determined, enterprising and hard-working woman who earns her living making textiles from different types of wool. She makes, for example woolen hats, blankets, scarves and other items. She belongs to the communal bank called “Sol Naciente de Mojopata” (Sun born of Mojopata) and needs the loan to purchase work materials like, for example, alpaca and sheep's wool. Victoria is grateful for and appreciates the loan. She promises to responsibly comply with her monthly repayment plan. (The Mojopata community is located in Challabamba District in the Paucartambo Province, Cusco, Perú).
