A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase various goods for his shop.

Muhammad's story

MuhammadU. a 24-year-old married man. He has two children and he is the resident of Ningarhar province. Due to civil wars in Afghanistan, he was not able to go to school; he had to work to support his family. He therefore began a small business.

First, Muhammad made a small retail store in Jalalabad City and with the little capital that he had, he purchased some basic goods. Initially, his business went well and he attracted plenty of regular customers in short while. However, after a few months, because of skyrocketing costs of living, the retail store no longer sufficed for the household expenses. Gradually, he was losing customers because there were not enough goods in the shop.

But now he is looking for a 50,000 Afghanis loan to stand on his feet once more. He intends to purchase various goods for his shop and increase the number of his customers once again. His shop has a good location in the market and that is definitely a plus.

MuhammadU. hopes to become a great businessman in the future. He works hard to achieve that goal. He is already thankful to the lenders.
