A loan of $1,950 helped a member to buy many cases of beer and lemonade.

Kigera Group's story

Lameck, age 40, is a member of Kigera Group and he lives in Rumonge. He is married to a Kabura, a cultivator. Together, they have 12 children, aged 1 to 20.

He's been selling beer and lemonades for elven years, and is now seeking his third loan from Kiva's partner, Turame. With this loan, he will bolster his working capital and buy many cases of beer and lemonade, in order to increase his income.

The earning generated by his business enabled him to buy cultivable lands and build a house. In the forthcoming years, he would like to see his children study.
