A loan of $1,000 helped to buy bricks and slate to build a shed.

Umeda's story

Umeda is an energetic young woman. She and her family live in the northern part of Tajikistan, when the land is fertile and well-suited for livestock and agriculture. Umeda is married to a good man and has three children. Umeda began farming ten years ago in order to feed her family. She mainly grows wheat and potatoes but also earns income from raising cattle. Umeda wants to build a shed to store her wheat and potato crops, but she does not have enough money to buy building materials. Because it is humid in northern Tajikistan, she needs to store the crops in a dry place before selling them. She has asked for a loan of $1,000 in order to buy brick and slate. She awaits your kindness.
