Shabana's story

Shabana is a 36-year-old married woman, living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Her husband owns a video games club, where he offers various types of video games for the children of the town. Her husband has been running this business in his hometown for 9 years, and numbers of children come to play video games daily. A few days ago, one of the favorite video games of the children became out of order due to a fluctuation in electricity.

Shabana belongs to a poor family and has a lot of household expenses, so she cannot save a single penny. Her husband wants to buy a video game, but he is unable to buy it due to a lack of savings. Shabana requested a small loan from Kiva's field partner, BRAC Pakistan, so that her husband would be able to buy a new video game.

Shabana wants to buy a piece of land in her neighborhood town for her children. Her dream is to establish her house, and she wants to see her family in a good position in the society. She is very thankful to Kiva's field partner, BRAC Pakistan, for giving her this honor in the form of a small loan.
