Florence's story

Florence lives in the Nkubu area of Eastern Kenya, a very fertile area for agriculture. She is married and has three children. Florence has been farming for 18 years. Her main source of income is melons, tobacco, maize, beans and bananas.

Florence wants to venture into milk production, and therefore has requested a loan of KES.30,000 from Juhudi Kilimo for purchasing dairy goats. This loan will help her to improve her living standards, and also increase food production. The main challenge Florence faces, is the high cost of living. In the future, she wants to to operate a butchery business for selling goat meat.

Florence says that she will make maximum use of Juhudi Kilimo's funds transfer to boost her projects.
