A loan of $5,250 helped a member to buy one bag of beans and one bag of cassava flour.

Juhudi Group's story

The borrower, Kangela, is the representative of the "Juhudi" credit group. Aged 61, she is a senior member of this group and an experienced entrepreneur. She is also a widow and the mother of four children who either study or already have their own families.

Kangela sells food products. She displays her goods at the public market and sometimes at home. She started in this business about six years ago, using her own funds received from her younger brother. She will use this new loan to buy one bag of beans and one bag of cassava flour.

She hopes to be able to expand her activity, as well as feed and educate her children.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima for providing support to small-scale entrepreneurs, through micro-credit.
