Merita is a 37-year-old married mother of three children aged 4 to 5 years old. Together with her family she lives in the western part of Kosovo. She operates a tailoring business and her husband is a baker with a very low salary. Merita has been a seamstress for the past 14 years and makes tablecloths, curtains, skirts, and dresses for weddings, special events and casual wear for her local customers. She really enjoys her work.
For the first time she is requesting a loan through KosInvest to buy material for her work and a new sewing machine, since she has been using the same machine for many years. She has been sustaining her business through her own efforts and all of her hard work and dedication. She hopes to increase her income and to expand her business in the future. She is happy for the financial support because it helps her to secure a stable future for her family. Knowing that this is a Kiva loan, she wants to thank all lenders!
