Manzura's story

Manzura B. is 42 years old, married, and has three children. Her husband is currently unemployed so Manzura is the only bread-winner in her family. Manzura sells dried apricots in the local central market. As a rule, she purchases apricots in the market and dries them herself. She has been in this business for 8 years already. Dried fruit, especially dried apricots, are very popular in Tajikistan. Besides they are very useful for the health.

Considering the constant demand for this kind of goods, Manzura's business is quite successful and brings in stable income for the family. Today Manzura is requesting US$ 600 for a term of 7 months. She is going to spend the loan purchasing apricots with the purpose of drying them in order increase the quantity of goods for sale. Manzura expresses her gratitude to everyone who supports her.
