A loan of $1,050 helped to buy one dairy cow.

Altynai's story

Altynai is 28 years old, married and has two children (a son and a daughter). She has a secondary education. She has been involved in an agricultural business - animal husbandry and farming - since 2005, having started this business with a sum of 20,000 som (KGS). Today, Altynai's monthly profit is 5,000 som. Altynai's husband helps her with the business. Thanks to her hard work, today she has a good farm, containing two dairy cows and two bulls. She also has 0.37 hectares of owned irrigated land and 1.5 hectares of leased land. The profit allowed Altynai to increase livestock quantities on the farm and thus, improve the family's welfare. In order to further grow her business, Altynai requested a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) from the Microfinance Bank "Bai-Tushum and Partners" to buy one dairy cow. She plans to invest the earnings from the loan into further increasing livestock quantities.
