A loan of $5,050 helped a member to buy guinea pigs and alfalfa seeds.

La Vida Plena (Paute) Group's story

The La Vida Plena group is made up of two men and eight women who live around the Paute canton, a place blessed by beautiful countryside. Thanks to its geography, it has a temperate, favourable climate for the cultivation of various fruit. The most beautiful flowers are also grown here. The people are kind and very courteous. They work in various jobs which allow them to contribute to their household economies. Their greatest pride is that they still maintain their culture and traditions.
One of the group members is Rosa, a founding member of the La Vida Plena group. They like their group because they get educational talks in every meeting, and they can talk to their friends about various themes that interest them.
Rosa is 38, married, and has three children ages 19, 15, and 12 who attend a local school. Her husband is a private employee and they live in their own home.
Rosa raises and sells guinea pigs and hogs. She also plants alfalfa and sells it in her canton.
She will invest this loan in the purchase of higher-quality guinea pigs and alfalfa seeds.
Her dream is for her children to become very good professionals.
