A loan of $375 helped to buy iron and aluminum sheeting for her business.

Irene's story

Irene, 51, is married and lives in her own home with her husband and daughter. She runs a metal carpentry business and makes doors, windows, stairs and other accessories. Her workshop is set up at home; and she started the business because her husband needed a worker to help get jobs done more quickly. She claims this business sector is profitable because more housing is needed in the area.

Things are going well for Irene and her customer base has increased over time which means she is able to make the income she needs. She wants to have on hand all the tools she needs to consolidate the infrastructure of her work space. On this occasion she is requesting 1,000 PEN and is thankful to the people who make this loan possible so she can reach her goals. She will use the loan to buy materials such as iron and aluminum sheeting for her work.
