A loan of $650 helped to buy fresh fruit such as bananas, and soft drinks.

Patricia's story

Patricia, 27, is married and lives in her own house with her husband and their two children. She sells fruit and soft drinks from a table she sets up every morning outside her house. She started the business over two years ago with her own money when she noticed the need to earn an income to help her husband cover household expenses. Her sister helps out with the attention to customers. She wants to continue with the business and eventually set up a store at home where she can display the products she has to sell. On this occasion she is requesting 1,800 PEN and is happy about receiving financial support in order to continue her work. She is committed to paying back the loan on time. The loan will be used to buy fresh fruit, such as citrus fruit and bananas, and other products she needs to continue working.
