Vivian Kiyeh's story

Vivian is married with five children and lives in a three-bedroom apartment in Bamenda Mezam Division of the North West Province of Cameroon. She has faced many challenges in life including inadequate finances to carry out her business, thieves breaking into her house and stealing household items, meeting her family's needs, the death of loved ones and other family issues. Vivian will invest the loan by buying a new bike for her son for a transportation business, clearing her farm for cultivation, and buying seeds to plant. She holds a positive view of this business succeeding because she has been in this business for a long time. These businesses will benefit the community because the bike will help transport people from one place to another and the farming will provide food. With the profit from the loan, Vivian will continue to educate her children, to cater to her family's needs and invest the rest in her business. She prefers loans form GHAPE because of low interest rates, convenient repayment schedules and also the members are trained on marketing and management skills before the loans are disbursed.
