Charles's story

Charles does farming as his major economic activity. He says this has been the source of income for the last 20 years. He lives in Nanyuki. He is blessed with four adult children who do not depend on him anymore. The crops that he deals with are potatoes, onions, cabbages, carrots and many other horticultural crops. These crops he sells at the local market when he harvests. He learned about Milango through an employee who visited him at his home in Nanyuki where his family is. The 56-year-old will use the extra income raised from the loan to buy dairy cattle and start producing milk, if all goes as planned. He now seeks a loan to buy potato seedlings, tomato seedling and cabbages. He wants to better his standards of living.
