Hasmik has been involved in beekeeping for 12 years. Over these 12 years she has gained 26 colonies of bees. At the same time Hasmik is engaged in a farming business. Currently she keeps 13 chickens and grows different types of trees (pear, apple, nut, apricot and peach).
Hasmik lives with her husband and two children in the small village of Arpy, which is located in the Vayots Dzor region. As honey is a must-have item for each household in Armenia, beekeeping is a profitable business for sustaining the family. So, in order to meet her clients' demands, Hasmik wants some financial support for purchasing 4 colonies of bees.
She has applied for this loan for enlarging her business. With the loan's help she plans to purchase 4 colonies of bees, and to buy onion and tomato seeds. Hamik hopes that Kiva lenders will help her to continue her agricultural business and that she will be able to solve some of her family's problems.
