The members of the group called TIORNOLA 2 are married women with an average age of 43 and on average, four children, all living in polygamous families in Ifola, one of the villages of Sikasso, third administrative region of Mali.

They work together with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso so as to succeed with their agricultural activities during the rainy season. They are on their seventh loan with the institution and the preceding loans have been correctly reimbursed.

The crop cultivated by Mrs. Assanatou, standing in the middle, is maize. With her loan she is intending to buy inputs and seeds to farm one hectare. Her produce is sold in the village, at the market, after the harvest, to a clientele composed of men and women. She intends to make a profit of 115,000 francs CFA this season. This profit will allow her to repay her loan and help her husband with daily expenses.

Les membres du groupe TIORNOLA 2 sont des femmes mariées ayant une moyenne d’âge de 43 ans, 4 enfants et vivant toutes dans des familles polygames à IFOLA, un des villages de SIKASSO, 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités agricoles pendant l’hivernage.
Elles sont à leur septième prêt avec l’institution, les prêts passés ont été bien remboursés.
La spéculation cultivée est : le maïs avec Mme ASSANATOU debout au milieu.
Avec son prêt, elle compte acheter les intrants et semences agricoles pour entretenir 1hectare. La production est vendue au niveau du village, au marché après la récolte à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice de 115.000 francs CFA par campagne.
Ce bénéfice lui permettra de payer son prêt et aussi d’aider son mari dans les dépenses quotidiennes.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
