A loan of $750 helped to buy clothing and footwear for resale.

Shiella's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 40-year-old Sheilla from Bulawayo. She is widowed and cares for her five children. They are all attending school, primary and secondary. She also cares for two other dependents.

Sheilla runs a retail business, selling clothes, footwear and kitchen utensils. She also sells blankets, suitcases and ladies’ fashion bags. The business has been in operation for over three years. She says the main challenge faced is lack of working capital to fulfill her orders.

Sheilla has requested a loan of USD 750 to order stocks of clothes, footwear, blankets and kitchen wares. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to pay school fees and cover other household expenses.

In the future, Sheilla plans to open a clothing boutique.
