A loan of $550 helped to buy chickens, guinea pigs and animal food.

Gloria Clementina's story

This is Gloria's third loan that she has taken out along with her friends and neighbors from the Zhullin loan group. She lives in the outskirts of the nearby city of Azogues, a place with a cold climate. This city has a special characteristic of being located at a slant due to its geography. Its people are very competent artisans who maintain the culture and traditions of their peoples.

Gloria is 31, married and with her husband has had five children who are 14, 12, 10, 7 and 2 years old. Her first child is studying in college, the next three children are studying at a little school in the city. Her husband works as a builder. They don't have their own house so they rent.

Gloria works doing the household chores and looking after her children, but in order to contribute to the household finances she works raising chickens and guinea pigs and sells these little animals in her city.

She is going to invest her new loan in buying chickens, guinea pigs and animal food.

Her dream is to have a grocery store.
