Nohemi Patricia's story

Nohemí, 36 years old, lives in the southwest area of the city with her spouse and two daughters ages 11 and 7. Since she was very young, Nohemí saw how her mother, a vendor, worked and lived off her job. She gained experience from her personal surroundings and as an adult and chose to apply all her knowledge into generating income. She does so by selling clothes such as shirts for men, women, and children. She also currently offers cooking utensils and electronic appliances. She sells these to her customers in the area where she lives and also offers services such as personal improvement to help people look beautiful. She offers services such as hairstyling, blow-drying, manicures, and pedicures. This is a supplemental activity that provides her with permanent income.

Her goal for the future is to have a sales property and to buy her own home. Currently, she is applying for a Kiva loan. This is her first time financing through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With this loan, she will buy clothes, shoes, cooking utensils, and beauty products. Nohemí is a hard-working woman and she will most definitely meet all her goals.
